At Vortex Solar Supply, we are committed to delivering your solar products quickly, safely, and cost-effectively—whether by plane, train, truck, or boat. Our goal is to ensure every shipment arrives at your doorstep in the best condition and on time.

Domestic Shipping Coverage

We currently ship to all U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii (note: additional shipping charges will apply for non-contiguous states).
We do not offer international shipping to South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, or Asia at this time. However, we can deliver your order to a U.S. port or warehouse of your choice for forwarding.

Freight Shipping for Solar Panels and Battery Storage

Due to the size, weight, and fragility of solar panels, they must be shipped via freight carriers on pallets or skids. Standard parcel services like UPS or FedEx are not suitable for most solar panels.

We work with a wide range of national and regional freight carriers, including but not limited to:

  • Southeastern Freight Lines

  • YRC Freight

  • DHL

  • LaserShip

  • A. Duie Pyle

  • Honolulu Freight

  • EconoCaribe

Shipping Options

  • Flat Rate Freight Shipping
    Many of our bundled products and solar kits qualify for flat-rate shipping within the contiguous 48 U.S. states, based on total package weight.

  • Variable Rate Shipping
    Shipping costs for other items will be calculated automatically at checkout based on your ZIP code. You may select from USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other available carriers.

  • Free Shipping
    Some items are eligible for free shipping. If your order qualifies, it will be indicated at checkout.

Important Freight Shipping Information

Vortex Solar Supply will coordinate shipping with reliable freight and parcel carriers. All products will be professionally packaged according to industry standards. Once your order ships, we will provide:

  • Carrier tracking number(s)

  • Contact information for the shipping provider

⚠️ Important: Vortex Solar Supply is not liable for damage to items that occurs during transit or upon delivery.
The customer is responsible for filing any freight damage claims directly with the carrier. We are happy to assist by providing shipping records or documentation to support your claim.

Freight Delivery Guidelines

To ensure proper handling of any potential issues, please follow these steps when accepting a freight shipment:

✅ Inspect Your Delivery Immediately

  • Check all pallets, boxes, and packaging before signing the delivery receipt.

  • Look for:

    • Crushed corners

    • Torn shrink wrap

    • Missing or shifted modules

    • Broken pallets

  • Confirm that the number of pallets and boxes matches the Bill of Lading (BOL).

📝 Report Any Damage

  • If you notice any visible damage, write "DAMAGED" and initial next to the note on the BOL or delivery receipt.

  • Take clear photos of all damaged items and packaging.

  • Notify the driver at the time of delivery.

  • If you cannot inspect all items, sign the receipt as "Subject to Inspection."

⚠️ Once you sign the delivery receipt without noting damage, you accept full responsibility for the shipment, and your ability to file a claim may be limited or denied.

Damage Claims

If damage is discovered, please:

  1. Take photos of the packaging and damaged items.

  2. Collect:

    • Serial numbers (for solar modules/inverters)

    • The delivery receipt and BOL

    • Packing slip and invoice

  3. Contact:

    • The freight carrier to initiate a claim

    • Our RMA department at sales@vortexsolarsupply.com with:

      • Your order number in the subject line

      • A description of the damage

      • Photos and documentation

Claims must be submitted within 72 hours of delivery.
